importing

    I’m trying to import a website from Squarespace but when I view the site, the content isn’t mine but looks to be one of the sample designs that come with wordpress if that makes sense. I’m not sure why my content isn’t being imported properly. Any tips?

    WP.com: Yes
    Jetpack: No

    Hey there!

    It looks like there were not any WordPress-compatible posts or pages were included in the Export file from Squarespace, which is why you’re still only seeing default content on the WordPress.com side of things. In other words, the Import completed successfully, but did not bring over any content with it.

    We recommend trying the export from Squarespace again, and referring to this Exporting your site guide from Squarespace to see if there are specific settings that must be selected in order to capture your content in the export. Keep in mind that not all types content may not be included; any unsupported content can be added manually in WordPress after the import.
