Importing

I’ve been trying to import data from my Typepad site. It seemed to work but I needed to trash the data and start again; however, I keep getting a message that Word Press is still working on the import. It’s now been 24 hours and I can’t redo the import.

Sure, that would be great. The file for the first import did not include all the posts from Typepad. I have a second file that is complete and I simply want to do the import process with that file and get going. Right now I’m frozen and it’s frustrating since I can’t really bring the Word Press site live until this is done.

I’ve reset the importer for you so you should now be able to import the new file.

OK, thanks. I’ve sent the new file and I guess it’s “working”. The last time 200 posts appeared very quickly. This time it’s much slower. I expect that about 400 posts should/will be transferred when all is done. Can you check to see how it’s working at your end? Appreciate it.

It looks like the import got stuck again, so I’ve reset it.
I’ve also sent an email to the address associated with your account. Can you please reply to that email with a copy of the file you’re trying to import? Then we can check if there’s an error in the file itself that’s preventing the import.

I’ve sent the import to you via e-mail and have also initiated the import process on the site once again. Let me know what you see at your end.
