I have exported my blog from chantellesadventures.com to move chantellesadventures.wordpress.com . I started the import on Saturday (7/17) and for several days I had the little spinning icon that it was still working. Yesterday morning (7/20) I had a message that said to give it 24 hours and I would receive an email and if I didn’t then to contact support. Using the forum is the only sort of support I seem to be able to find. Any help appreciated!

Hi @cjgrubbs, there was a problem with the import. I’ve checked your file and didn’t find any obvious cause yet, but sometimes the import will get hung up on spam comments.
Can you try making an export file again, this time removing any spam comments first? You will also want to be sure the images at your old host are accessible. Then try that. If it still does not work, let us know and we’ll try from our end.

hmmmmmm, I’ve used askimet to catch spam comments always. I also don’t know what to do with images. They should all be ones that I uploaded myself.

I’m trying to make this happen before 7/28 when my hosting expires to avoid another annual hosting cost.

Okay, let me just try it from this end, then. I’ve just preemptively split the file into three smaller parts to see if that will help, and if it doesn’t, perhaps it’ll help us pinpoint the issue at least.

Okay. I was able to get the posts imported, but I noticed some of the images are still left on the old site. We’ll be working on that & will update you soon, hopefully within a day or two.
