Importing a Blog

  I tried to import a blog using an .xml file, but it didn’t work after sitting there saying it was importing for 36 hours. What should I try next?

  Sorry about that. I’ve cleared that stalled import for you. You can try uploading it again like normal.

  What size is your xml file?

  It says it’s 785KB….

  The file size should be fine. Did importing it again work?

  It still says “Processing”.

  Thanks for reaching out. I’m going to do some testing with your file and see if I can figure out what’s stalling it. I’ll let you know when I’ve figure this out.

  Nope! I was able to grab it from your failed import. :)

  I successfully imported the file into my test site. From a quick spot check, it looks like all of the files that I imported to my site are already present on your site. Can you tell me what’s missing from your site?

  Wow; yes they are there now. The last import must have worked; however, I saw nor received any indication that the import had been successful. Thanks for all of your help!

  Our developers just identified and fixed a bug last night that was preventing completed imports from doing their ‘wrap-up’ jobs like sending the completion emails and clearing the import.

  It should be all fixed now, and many of the imports did in fact work. :)
