Importing a retired theme?

  Hi there,
  I’ve exported/imported content from one WordPress site to another site…I was using a retired theme on the old site. Is there a way to import this retired theme?

  Hi Lee, I don’t think there is. Usually we can only enable a retired theme if it was previously enabled on the given site. Could you confirm the old site / new site links?

  Sure! The old site is https://magazine.mylo.ai/ and we’re moving it to https://theroundup2.wordpress.com (not yet launched). Thanks for your help!

  Ah yes, that won’t be possible. Retired themes can be enabled on sites that have used them before, but not on sites that never have.

  There are some very similar free themes available though: https://wordpress.com/themes
