Importing a tumblr Blog

It’s taken over 24 hours for my tumblr import. Absolutely nothing has even begun, it kept saying it was processing, but nothing had changed, and I even let it continue overnight. My spouse started his at the same time and his hasn’t moved either.

Due to the changes at tumblr there is currently very heavy traffic at the WordPress.com importer. I have added a modlook tag in case your import is stuck and needs resetting by them so please be patient as staff work through the backlog to reach you. -

As @themagicrobot mentioned, we are currently experiencing a huge influx of Tumblr imports, so they’re taking longer than usual to complete. It appears that the import for your site is still queued in our system so it will hopefully complete soon.
If it hasn’t finished by 24 hours, let us know and we can reset the importer so you can try again. Please start a new thread if they need help and we’ll be happy to check the import status on our side.

It’s been over three days, I would <i>greatly</i> like to have my tumblr over here, but it’s not working. Can you <i>please</i> allow me to restart this import?

Hi there,
It appears the Tumblr import on your site has now failed, so I’ve reset the importer so you can try again.
If it seems to take long, please be patient and don’t try cancelling the process yourself – we’re still experiencing a high volume of imports from Tumblr at the moment causing a backlog of pending imports in our system. The imports are being run in the order they are submitted, but it could be a few days before your new import is processed.
