Importing a WP blog, do you import your blog stats too?

  I wanted to import a single post, but my whole blog was imported. Does anyone know why? And, when I was importing the .xml files, it also recorded the number of hits from my past blog, yet, it doesn’t show up on my new blog. Is that the way it works? Is there a way I can import blog hits from my other WP blogs?

  Ah. Then why would WordPress count the number of queries when I was importing the .xml files? I hope a member working for WordPress is able to answer my questions.

  They rarely reply in the forums, but they DO often reply to queries sent via the Support button on your dashboard.

  My educated guess (which you may discount, as I’m not staff) is that WP wants to know more about your blog. After all, they’re running Google Analytics on our blogs, which we don’t have access to.
