Importing a xml file

  I have a drupal site that had one content type. I exported the content type into a xml file. I want to move the content to a wordpress.com site. When I tried to import the xml into wordpress I’m getting a wrong file extension error?

  To import the content of another WordPress blog into your current site, go to My Site → Settings and select the Import tab. For the import to work, you’ll need a valid .xml file. Note that you can also import the content of a self-hosted WordPress blog.

  When I tried to import the xml into wordpress I’m getting a wrong file extension error?

  Sometimes we’ll see that if the file is zipped. That said, I don’t think we have direct support for importing Drupal files. Are you able to convert it into one of these formats?
