Importing an existing WP site into my account

  Hello, I am trying to receive a site from another person, they sent me a zip file and I attempted to import it twice but no dice. The error says, ‘Make sure you are using a valid wp export file in xml or zip format.’ Does this mean the people who gave me the file, somehow exported it wrong? Please help!

  Hi there,

  The error can occur either while importing or exporting. If you see that kind of error it probably means that the file wasn’t exported correctly. You can always share the below mentioned link (export) with the person for their convenience.
