Importing an old WordPress.com blog from my new blog

  The old blog is five years old and available here: motherfail.wordpress.com. Not sure how to get to my old dashboard to create the export file. I am not even sure if this user name (@cole613) is associated with my new blog, my old one, or both. Can anyone help with some basics? Thanks.

  Update. I have a hosted WordPress account that I want to populate with content from my old motherfail.wordpress.com blog. I have used email password recovery but it sends me to an @cole613 account and motherfail.wordpress.com does not show up as a website I created. I can see my old website but I can’t access the dashboard. There must be some way I can access my admin page. SiteGround was great, but they’ve advised that WordPress needs to handle this and I can’t find any support.

  Hi,

  I have used email password recovery but it sends me to an @cole613 account and motherfail.wordpress.com does not show up as a website I created.

  I can confirm that is not the account associated with that site. Can you check other addresses and usernames?
