    On the WordPress.com Business plan, you can import directly using our built-in importer. Please check out the guide here:

    If you have a website built with WordPress on another hosting provider, generally referred to as a self-hosted WordPress.org site, and want to move it to WordPress.com, use our Import Everything option. The Import Everything option will copy your existing self-hosted WordPress site to your new WordPress.com site, including your content, media, plugins, and the theme. Prerequisites A W

    As you can see, it will import your entire existing site as-is. Could you give that a try and let us know how it goes?

    If you still prefer to import using a zip file, please let us know which method you’re following to import your site. What does the zip file contain? Is it a full filesystem backup, including the database? Or did you download the backup using a plugin? Which plugin, if yes?

    We’ll be able to help you further once we have the information above.
