  My old blog will not import. it keeps stopping at post #40. I have tried on multiple computers.

  If you’re trying the direct method (where you enter your login details), would you please try importing from a Blogger export file instead?

  The post just transferred over, but what about the pages?? will this work?

  No, pages will not be brought over. You’ll have to copy and paste those manually.

  I tried that with the HTML code… and then it won’t let me press enter. It smashes everything together

  If you’re copying HTML, make sure that you’re pasting it into the editor’s HTML tab, not the Visual tab.

  I was doing that… It still will not space everything out like I had it before. Also, some of my posts are long and I had the ability to truncate them on blogger. How do I do that now?

  You can cut your posts into excerpts using the More tag: http://en.support.wordpress.com/splitting-content/more-tag/
