Importing Blog from Blogger Queries

I have a blog on Blogger.com (new Blogger) which I want to change to a new WordPress blog, but first I want to keep both until I am happy with the transfer.
If I import all my Blogger posts, do the original posts still stay on my Blogger blog?
What happens to any images on the posts? Do they come along with the import or do I have to re-upload them into WordPress?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

1. The posts will stay on blogger till you actually delete them yourself.
2. The images are not brought over with the import. If the images are left on blogger, then I believe they will display in your new blog (hot linked).
If you decided to move the images over, you will need to download them from blogger to your computer and then upload them here through the media library. Since blogger and wordpress use different permalink structures, you will end up having to edit each post and change the image URL to the URL here.
