importing blog from Tripod??
-
I started a blog in using Tripod, but a friend told me about WordPress and I switched, where I currently have my blog. I couldn’t figure out how to import my blog from Tripod so I just put a link on my last post, referring people to WordPress, where I picked up where I left off. Well, now I want to print my blog into a bound book but noone can tell me how to get the whole thing. It seems none of the self publishing blog sites support Tripod so when it looks for my blog, the only thing that uploads is the last part, the part in WordPress. So I have a year and a half that I can’t seem to get to come together with my current posts. Make sense? Gee, I hope someone out there is getting this! The only solution I can think of is to copy and paste each post from my old blog (www.groomingonthego.net/myblog) into my current blog (www.westiemom9508.wordpress.com) but how do I get them into the right place? Like at the BEGINNING of my blog? If I copy/paste old posts into my current blog, they show up at the end (the most current post). Help!!
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

You can change the date stamps on posts in the Publish module. Please see here and note that I just want you to look at the image. That entry is for setting dates into the future but you can use it to date into the past as well. http://en.support.wordpress.com/posts/schedule-a-post/

I would suggest contacting tripod and see if they offer any sort of export. I did a quick search on their knowledge base and found nothing.
There is an old trick that can be used to import off an RSS feed, but if you have a lot of posts, it might not work.
You can also contact staff directly tomorrow, the 3rd, when support opens back up and talk with them about it.

I just noticed this. Your tripod blog has an RSS feed so maybe Staff can help you with an RSS import like TSP just referred to above. http://www.groomingonthego.net/myblog/rss.xml

As @thesacredpath suggested, please try contacting Tripod support and ask if you can get your contents exported in any form.
If you are able to get your export file, we can work with it and try importing it into your WordPress.com blog.[edit] didn’t see TT’s comment above (I just unspammed it – sorry!). Either way, if you get an RSS feed file we can help you – please contact support once you’re ready:
