importing blog problems

my previous blog was on blog.com (natskitchennotes.blog.com) and i want to turn it into a sort of website with a nice theme for wordpress that i found… i tried to upload my file to blogger like the website says, to them upload it here (by upload i mean export import) but blogger keeps giving me an error message and i dont know what to do! PLEASE help!

Can you tell us what the error message is?
We can’t really support Blogger here, but it’s possible that I may have seen the error before.

the error is “Sorry, the import failed due to a server error. The error code is bX-izedxv”… but the odd thing about this all is that from what i’ve read… blog.com and wordpress are now kinda combined… so i dont know why i cannot transfer anything over from one blog to the other… i even have the blog in an HTML version so im really not understanding!

Well, we don’t have any relationship with Blog.com, but they do appear to be using the WordPress software as their base. Do they provide any sort of WordPress-compatible export file?

the only export file they give is an XML file… they dont give export options… just choose between the full blog, posts, comment, etc… but not the type of export.

Hm, that’s unfortunately. XML is just a file type, but doesn’t say much about the data within.
You can try using the WordPress importer at Tools -> Import in your blog’s Dashboard.
If that doesn’t work, try the other ones that allow you to upload files.
