Importing Blogger Blog

  If I import a blogger blog, will the posts automatically be published? If so, is there anyway I can have them default to drafts and not be published until after I’ve edited?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Yes, they will be automatically published. You could do this.
  1. Leave the Blogger blog as is temporarily.
  2. Set the wordpress.com blog visibility to “private” to keep out search engines and visitors temporarily. http://en.support.wordpress.com/settings/privacy-settings/
  3. Export the contents out of the Blogger blog and import them into your wordpress.com blog.
  4. Then do the editing work you want to do on your posts in the “private”wordpress.com blog and when finished then change the blog visibility to “public”.
  5. Lastly, place only one post on the front page of the Blogger blog redirecting visitors to the wordpress.com blog. Make all the rest of the blog content “private” so you avoid creating a Google duplicate content penalty.

  You’re welcome and best wishes with your blog. One thing you will want to do right now is this as the HTML from Blogger does not validate.
  Go here > Dashboard > Settings > Writing > Writing Settings > Formatting > and check this option
  ___ WordPress should correct invalidly nested XHTML automatically
  Then scroll down and click “Save Changes”.

  Thanks, I’ve imported one before, I just wanted to import another one but cherry pick the posts that I wanted published. I appreciate your help.
