  Hi @brainaries, can you clarify what you’re importing the contacts into? Are you adding them as site users, or setting them up as followers for example?

  If you’re adding as users, read this:

  You’ll want to be sure you understand user roles, too:
  http://en.support.wordpress.com/user-roles/

  And if you’re inviting them to follow your site, the process is similar. Just note, either way, to help prevent spamming, we limit the number of invitations you can send at one time. Also, the user on the other end will need to confirm that they want to be added to your site.
