Importing corrections made to exported XML file

Hello All!
I am new to blogging so please forgive my ignorance in advance. :) My company has changed the spelling of its name so I have exported my blog files (as xml) and made all 300 changes in the xml file using Dreamweaver. When I import the corrected xml file, NONE of the changes that I can see in the xml file has been imported. Please help. I have tried everything I can think of so far.

@timethief – looks like a WordPress.com site to me linked to their name – gray bar at the top – Powered by WordPress.com at the bottom.
But just banging a file on top of an existing site would be a problem of some sort with the names and dates of the Posts seems to me – clearing the site might work but there are some database things that are unique to WordPress.COM that would be problematic no matter how things are done.
I was not sure they are asking about the site linked to their name or another one –

Yikes! I could have sworn the blog linked to the username was a different one. The bottom line is we need the URL starting with http:// for the blog in question.

I am really confused. I sell essential oils and have a wordpress account. I just looked at it and it has been deactived and accused me of running a “get rich quick” scheme. I am an independent product consultant for http://www.doterra.com. In what possible way could that make me part of a “get rich quick” scheme? In no way shape or form does my wordpress site “promote affiliate links, get rich quick programs, banner ads, consists solely or mostly of duplicate or automatically generated material, or is part of a search engine marketing campaign”. Please review this immediately and get back to me.

Demands will get you nowhere in the Forum – us unpaid volunteers are not involved with suspensions – you need to contact the staff with the link they sent you – suspensions are never discussed in the Forum – only with the blog Admin –

Hello! I wasn’t making a demand. I’m sorry that it came across that way. The staff is out on vacation so it is my assumption that a volunteer suspended my account in error.

No Volunteers cannot suspend blogs– only Staff can. Staff monitor forum threads and provide assistance where required.

Great! Good to know. There should be no problem reinstating the blog that I have worked non-stop on all week long. I wish it had been computer-generated…I would have had time to enjoy myself! :)

Remember, though, that if you are reselling a product manufactured by others, your blog is still probably against the terms of service. “Independent product consultant” sounds as if it fits under that.
In any case, WordPress.COM is ill-suited to ecommerce; you’d be far better off with a WordPress.org blog. Then you’ll be able to add shopping carts and put ads (for your own products and services) on every page. You can’t do that here.

You will, however, be able to export all your content, so don’t worry about that. The theme won’t transfer, but there are many, MANY more themes available at WordPress.org.
