importing dreamwidth xml file to wp blog

  Hi;
  I’ve been trying all many of the various import types, but nothing seems to parse my uploaded xml file from dreamwidth, and I do not want to pay for the WP All Import plugin. Is there some other way to import my DW xml file?

  Hi Shira,

  Just because a file is an xml file it doesn’t mean it can be imported to WordPress.com. Either you need an importer for the specific service your file comes from, or else that service has to provide the file in a format that’s compatible with the WordPress importer.

  We don’t have a Dreamwidth importer on WordPress.com, and if the Dreamwidth file is not compatible with the WordPress importer, then you won’t be able to import it here.
