Importing Exisiting Users

    If I move my self-hosted WP site over to WordPress.com, will I be able to keep my existing users?

    Hi @zellous, great question. It depends on what you’re doing, and what the users are for.

    If, for example, they’re users of your e-commerce store, I think if you use a Business Plan with the All In One importer, you’d be fine.

    Or, if you’re just transferring content over and want to ensure each article is assigned to the correct author, I’d recommend creating the site, adding each author to it, then running the import and assigning authors in that process.
