Importing-Exporting some of my posts

Guys, I have a blog on wordpress that I want to divide into two separate blogs. I know I can create vtwo new blogs in wordpress, but can I transfer some of my posts (with comments) to one blog and other posts (with comments) to the other blog? For obvious reasons, I want to retain the original posts and comments that have been posted on them, but I want to move them to two different blogs. Does anybody know if this can be done?

you could download the xml through export, then upload it to your newblog. you’ll have all your posts and comments there, but you can delete the ones you don’t want and therefore have the ones you want there. do the same with your first blog.

First make a backup of your blog from Manage > Export. Keep that safe just in case.
You need to get another author added to your blog.
The posts you want to separate can then assigned to that author.
After that, Manage > Export will let you export just one author’s post.The other way is to backup the blog then import all of that into the other one.
Following that delete the ones you don’t want in each.Either way – keep a backup.
