Importing external widget and extensions to my WordPress.com blog/site ?

  Hello,

  Sorry if the question sounds stupid but I don’t manage to find a way.
  I worked previously on a wordpress.org site which allows me more features in the back-office than my current personnal wordpress.com site/blog. Then, I don’t find a way to import some more widgets such as a social media one to include on my current sidebar. How can I add .zip widgets to my blog to allow me to set them up since I don’t see how to access /wp-content/plugins ?

  Do you know how I could access this folder or how I could add any external widgets I find on the wordpress extensions center or are extensions just unavailable to wordpress.com blog/site ?
