Importing file from xanga seems stuck

Morning of 9/4 I imported from my xanga. That file is STILL in process and I was wondering if it was stuck or it truly is taking that long?

Sometimes the importer gets stuck. If the file is large you may have to import Posts, Pages, etc. in separate files. Or if the file is very large Staff may have to do the import.

hi, did it work? I also tried to import mine on 9/7, but even after I received a notice saying mine was completed, I couldn’t see a post or any change on my just-started-wordpress site. while raising the question here, I have just tried again couple minutes ago. hope this time it works. thank you!

Your site is still blank, which makes me think that nothing came through. How much content would you say were you moving over? I can take a look a the XML file and try on my end if need be. Just let me know. Thanks!

Hi Darnelldibbles,
I’ve 1282 posts since 2007. Most of them are with pictures and some with even video. When I tried to “export” from Xanga, the .xml file size is only 14711 KB.

Hmmm…it may be because of the size of the file. I’m going to contact you via email and see if I can get the file from you. I’ll try it on my end and see if we have any success with the import. Thanks!

I am having the same issue as well. Importing from xanga, receiving an email, and then nothing is showing up. I tried it two or three times. Thanks!
