importing from a self hosted wordpress failed, import still appears to be active

  I am attempting to import my pages from http://www.schollnick.net/wordpress, and I received an email indicating that the import failed. But the dashboard still indicates that the import is running? (account – (email visible only to moderators and staff), schollnick.wordpress.com)

  First, I don’t see any troubleshooting suggestions regarding a failed import?

  Second, what can I do about the dashboard not allowing me to try to import again?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Sounds like you had a glitch during your import, and the job got stuck.

  I have deleted the import job. Please try running the import again:

  https://schollnick.wordpress.com/wp-admin/import.php

  Well, I tried again, and it is stuck again???

  I’m importing from WordPress 4.2.2. I am just going from Tools – Export from the standalone wordpress install. Is there a better method, or a safer method?

  I don’t understand why there would be a problem?

  Here is what I will do — I’m going to send you a private email. When you respond, will you attach your XML file? I can take a look at it, and see if there’s a problem. If there’s no issue, I can run the import for you.
