Importing from another blog

  Hi there :)

  I am trying to import from one of my blogs to a new blog I just made. I have followed the export process of the older blog, saving the export file and then I followed the import process on the new blog… but nothing imported my new blog is still blank??

  Does anyone know what I could have done wrong and can you help me get my info into my new blog?

  I have read a few of the topics that relate to this… and where each person has explained how to import, I have followed those exact steps and it still hasn’t imported my posts…

  I am really confused now :(

  What is the URL of the old blog, and what is the URL of the new one? The site linked to your name is not a WP.com blog, and we won’t be able to help you with that.

  the old one is http://kiddiepics.wordpress.com/

  and the new one is http://trphotochildren.wordpress.com/

  There’s a strange problem going around right now where posts do not show up on the blog, although they show up in the Recent Posts widget on the sidebar. If I were you, I’d suspend the attempt for a few hours at least, until that problem is resolved. It may or may not be related, but while the staff are tinkering with things that big, you don’t want to A) lose anything or B) waste your time.

  I’m trying to do similar and it took a few error messages to figure out that my export file is too large. I don’t know how to maybe split the files and import two files?

  no idea how to do that hotsalad… mine was small enough.
