Importing from another blog

    I am trying to import content from another blog. I ran the importer tool and received an email later that my import was successful. What do I do now? I don’t see my blog posts.

    The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Is the site you have the XML export file from still online?

    If yes, what is the URL?

    Sometimes the importer gets stuck. If the file is large you may have to import Posts, Pages, etc. in separate files. Or if the file is very large Staff may have to do the import.

    Hi there,

    It looks like you tried to import a file from Xanga, correct? If the Xanga importer doesn’t work, can you please try the WordPress importer instead?

    If the original site is still online, also please check if you can export multiple smaller files instead of one big one, as the file you’ve tried to import is very close to our maximum file size limit.
