  Yes provided you can get an XML export file of your content and import it but the former is not easily done as you will note by searching previous blog.com threads.

  No that’s not the problem. This has nothing whatsover to do with upgrades. This is a blog.com issue. Read the blog.com threads I linked to above. Do you have an XML export file of your content? yes or no? If yes see here http://en.support.wordpress.com/import/

  You have the XML file! That’s great news. Follow the steps for importing a WordPress export file http://en.support.wordpress.com/import/
