  How do I import an xml file larger than 15MB?

  I believe you will have to use an XML file splitter to split the file up and import the content in sections. I tagged this thread for Staff assistance. Please subscribe to it so you are notified when they respond.

  Hi there,

  You have a few different options. As @timethief mentioned, you can use a file splitter app to divide your XML file in to smaller pieces (there’s a discussion on the WordPress.org forum about this. While there is a big difference between WordPress.com and WordPress.org, the import process is still very similar: https://wordpress.org/support/topic/wxr-file-splitter). Please note that none of these file splitter apps are WordPress.com’s and we cannot assist if they do not work correctly.

  You also could do smaller exports, perhaps limit the export by date ranges so that each one is under the 15 Mb limit.

  The third option is that you could upload the XML file to a file sharing site such as Dropbox or Cloudup. I would then send you a private email and you’d respond with the link to that file, and I would have one of our developers try to import it.
