Importing from Free WordPress to paid site

  Hi All,

  I would be grateful if anyone could help me out here as I am about to throw this laptop out-of-the- window.

  I have been running my free site Belfastchildis for sometime and I am using theme Twenty Thirteen.
  A few months ago I got another paid site which is Loyalistchild and I am using theme MH Newsdesk lite .

  When I first got the new site I done an import from my old site and it seemed to work fine and copied everything over. However recently I have been trying to import my blog posts from my old site, Belfastchild to my new site loyalistchild and it keeps failing and I am getting the following message:

  “Sorry, there has been an error.
  This does not appear to be a WXR file, missing/invalid WXR version number.”

  I have been using the free import tool and I am lost on how to fix this problem, as I really need to get all my blog posts from old site to new site.
  Also is there a plugin that will synchronise both my sites, ie if I do a post on Belfastchilld is it possible to post this to Loyalist child at the same time?
