importing from livejournal

  I’ve followed all the instructions to import from my livejournal (ie export into XML file etc..) and when I go to the manage > import and ‘browse’ for my LJ XML files – it says:

  Import LiveJournal
  All done. Have fun!

  But I can’t find any of those files I purportedly imported/exported. HELP!

  If you see tellyworth’s (staff) response in this thread you will see that there is an importing problem right at the moment. I would wait a little while and try again. That’s the best we volunteers can do for you at the moment.

  It has to do with a 503 error when importing and you would not have associated it with your problem so it’s not surprising you did not find out about it.

  Fingers crossed it’s fixed soon.
