Importing from Posterous — delayed, or not working?

Hi – I began to import my Posterous Spaces blog more than 24 hours ago, still no indication. I realize a lot of people must be doing this! However, wanted to confirm the import process was in fact happening. Thanks

We’ve recently made an update to the Posterous importer.
Could you try importing again at Tools -> Import -> Posterous?

Hi there,
Do you happen to have a domain mapped to your Posterous blog? If so, could you try disabling it at Posterous’ site, and then import again?
Otherwise, could you send us a link to your Posterous blog? We’ll be happy to investigate.

Thanks for responding. In fact I did have a domain mapped to the blog.
I followed your instructions and disabled it and then retried,
but it still seems not to be importing. I’d appreciate it if you could

Hi Mitch,
I’ve reset your importer.
It looks like the host name you have entered at Tools -> Import points to an invalid address. Could you verify that the URL has been entered correctly, and import once more?

Thanks much Chris – you are correct. I had entered the wrong address. I fixed that, and trying again now. Hopefully that will do it!

We rolled out another update to the importer today.
I have reset your importer again. Would you please try one more time?

Hi – wish I could report success, but still no luck in importing. Page just continues to state it’s processing, but nothing’s happening…. http://mitchellteplitsky.wordpress.com/wp-admin/admin.php?import=posterous

Hi – no error message. It just says it is processing, but the importer status indicates 0 posts. It never changes.

I hate to ask, but are you sure you’re entering your log in details correctly? Some folks are messing that up.

It worked this time! I logged in again. I’m quite sure I logged in correctly in previous attempts. Whatever the reason, glad it worked. Thanks for fast responses.
