Importing from self hosted WordPress site not working

I am trying to move my self hosted wordpress site to wordpress.com hosting, I have tried importing the export file from my site twice, each time I get a email saying the import was sucessful, but when I go to the site I don’t see any of my post etc. it doesn’t seem to be importing anything.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

What is the size of the XML file, please?
Is the site you have the XML export file from still online?
If yes, what is the URL?

Sometimes the importer gets stuck. If the file is large you may have to import Posts, Pages, etc. in separate files. Or if the file is very large Staff may have to do the import.

The file is a little over 4 meg.

The current URL is still up and running thenextage.com/wordpress

I have had the self hosted blog for quite a while, there are 153 post.

I just did another export from the site and the file sizes are slightly different (new one is smaller), but I noticed when trying to open the first one in Notepad ++ it gives an xml parsing error and the new one does’t so that might be the issue.

If not I will try doing separately. Either way I will post my results here.

    Thanks

I tried the new export file with the same results, about 30 minutes after I upload I get an email that it worked, but then there are no new post, etc.
