importing from squarespace
-
I was looking to create a website for my company that is simply informational and allows for a contact form, very short and sweet nothing crazy. I was able to get a free trial of square space to create it, seeing as I could export certain data and import it into WordPress for a cheaper option, i mean I’m not really looking to pay $200 annually for a website that will probably get 10 clicks a month. I’ve been looking around for different cheap webhosting sites and I figured WordPress could work. Unfortunately i already spent 2 weeks making and perfecting my website on sqaurespace and thought importing certain data into wordpress would be simple but it isn’t. I imported multiple times and cant find this data at all, I watched videos, went through numerous forums and of course WordPress doesn’t offer support if you don’t pay for a subscription haha. I really don’t want to lose my site design but goodness WordPress is so confusing to navigate and I don’t want to upgrade my subscription if I cant know for sure that it will work well for navigating and creating but goodness they keep pushing this damn membership on me. I don’t even know if its good or not. I mean even the paid for designs are ehh, I am mainly looking for a divider for my main image on the homepage, I found a really nice one on square space, but the ones on WordPress are terrible. If anyone has any advice, please help. (Yes I know that a whole site cannot be imported, only certain data, and Im fine with that, it just simply didn’t work.
