Importing from Tumblr.

    After the intial import from Tumblr to my new wordpress, will it continue to import automatically if i add new content to Tumblr? Thanks!

    No. The import you did was via an xml file you exported from Tumblr and only allows you to import what you exported. To add new Tumblr posts to WordPress you’ll have to export those manually from Tumblr and import them to WordPress as well. There’s no auto-post feature from Tumblr to WordPress.

    It does work the other way around, though. If you connect your Tumblr blog via Publicize under Settings ->Sharing in the dashboard you can have every new post you make on WordPress automatically post on Tumblr as well. Depending on the type of post it will typically post an extract on Tumblr along with a link to the post on WordPress. http://en.support.wordpress.com/publicize/#tumblr
