Importing from Tumblr

    I already completed the steps to import my blog from Tumblr; however, not all the posts came through. For example the first two posts on my blog BooksMaketheBestFriends did not import despite numerous attempts. Help!

    Hi there,

    If you’re missing any content after a Tumblr import, please try running the import again. It will automatically skip any content already on your WordPress.com site.

    Do note that this includes any content in the Trash folder on your site – if you’ve deleted an imported post and then run a new import, that post in the Trash won’t be re-imported. You’ll have to clear it from Trash first as well before it will import again.

    Beyond that there’s not much we can do. We have no way to have the importer target specific posts on your Tumblr site. The importer simply imports what Tumblr sends us via their API, so if a post is not importing despite numerous attempts, it most likely means that post is not available via the Tumblr API.
