Importing from Tumblr

  I’m trying to import my Tumblr to my WordPress, but when I get to the Import Tumblr screen there’s nothing for me to select. I’ve added the WordPress app but my Tumblr isn’t appearing.

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Hello. In my WordPress dashboard Tools>Import>Tumblr is working fine. I can Run Importer.
  Try clearing you cache and follow the instructions in this page: https://wordpress.com/support/import/import-from-tumblr/
  and tell us exactly which step is causing the error.

  Yes that’s the page I was using. Here’s a screencap: https://imgur.com/a/UsTIcf8. Tumblr is connected but doesn’t appear for me to import.

  Thanks for sharing the Tumblr site URL. Were you able to authenticate properly with the right Tumblr account? Also, did you grant permission to allow access?

  I granted permission to allow access.

  I think I authenticated properly in that nothing about that step differed from the instructions you linked?

  Hi, I actually just confirmed I’m seeing the same thing — correct tumblr account, correct access… just can’t see my sites to import any.

  We’ll dig into this further and update you when we have more details.

  We’ve reported this issue to our engineers since a few of us here on staff that also have this issue if we try to import. They’re still investigating but we will let you know as soon as we have more info.

  Hold on sorry I have a follow-up question: does WordPress import images from Tumblr? I’m not seeing any on my blog.

  Hi there,

  Did you get an email that the import is complete? We do try to import all media (sometimes we find a video or odd embed we can’t import) but be aware that importing media takes more time than importing the text. It’s possible that the import is still running, especially if you did not get an email letting you know it was complete.

  Flase alarm! It took a couple of days but images are now appearing on my WordPress blog. Thank you again!
