Importing from Tumblr stuck

  Hello, my import was not working so I tried stopping it by clearing data, but when I try to resume it says I have an import in progress. I even tried disconnecting my tumblr, and reconnecting, but it wont let me resume the import.

  Hi –

  I’ve reset the Tumblr importer for your site so you can try again.

  If it seems to take long, please be patient and don’t try cancelling the process yourself – we’re experiencing a high volume of imports from Tumblr at the moment causing a backlog of pending imports in our system. The imports are being run in the order they are submitted.

  If the new import doesn’t complete within 24 hours, please let us know.

  Just a small suggestion that you could raise to whoever can edit pages…
  It may help to put a notice on the tumblr import page, to prevent this issue from happening to so many people. Having a notice that the import can take 24 hours would stop people from attempting to restart it to ‘fix’ it, and would make less work for the staff needing to reset.
  With the high volume of tumblr imports, theres a high volume of support requests for resets, so a notice should drastically reduce the support requests.

  Thanks for the suggestion — agreed. This particular page doesn’t have a “message area” so we’d need to code it, but we’re looking into that. It definitely would be helpful.

  Some content does appear to have imported, but if you’re still missing content, please restart the import now.
