importing from typepad

the instructions do not make sense to me. “To begin, choose a file to upload and click Upload file and import”.How can I do this when the files are on Typepad not on my harddrive?

You should be able to download a backup from Typepad. That’s what you save to your desktop.

I’ve imported my blog fine and dandy, but none of the images came across… I’ve not that many but I don’t want to link them by hand. On the .org version there’s this

anything like this for the .com version?
Otherwise it’s going to eat up a weekend..

I’m sorry to be the bearer of bad tidings so don’t point that weapon at me – lol. :) WordPress.org and wordpress.com run on completely different software. We do not have plugins on this wordpress.com multi-user blogging platform. I’m afraid you’ll have to upload them one at a time as myself and many others had to do. :(

It’s a boring, repetitive task so I suggest you treat yourself to some new music to make it less painless. ;)

Look at it as an excuse to go back through all of your posts looking for typos and other problems.
Heck, I need to do that on mine asap. Maybe tomorrow…
