Importing from TypePad: How to not break old URL’s?

  I can’t find the answer to this anywhere. Any help is greatly appreciated.

  I’m about to import a blog of mine from TypePad to WordPress.com. However my concern is breaking the URL’s for all my old blog posts being that in TypePad they are formatted like this */year/month/post-title.html and in WordPress.com like this /year/month/day/post-title.

  Being that I can’t change Permalink structure in WordPress.com, does it automatically handle this?

  Any help is greatly appreciated.

  Here you are. WordPress should handle the transfer automatically.

  Thanks. I think they need to put a comment in this support document stating that URL’s won’t be broken.
