Importing from Weebly to WordPress

    Hi,

We are finally taking the step to move our website to WordPress, long overdue to be honest…
Anyway, we get professional help with the export. But I’m in charge of preparing the import. We have our webhosting at Binero and also two domains there and I think we want to keep it that way.

We are a small business that is rapidly growing though, so we were thinking about the business plan. During the import to WordPress we want to use one of our domain name temporarily at WordPress, and when we feel that our wordpress site is ready we want to use our regular one that is currently our Weebly-site domain name.

So there you have the conditions for the export. Could you give me some poniters in this process, like where should I begin? And can I map my two domain name to wordpress or can I leave these at Binero?

  • Hi –

    Thanks for writing to us.

You don’t have to connect the domain to the site until you have it set up and ready to go. That’s not an issue at all. Once you get to that point you’ll set up domain mapping:

Domain mapping is included in that business plan price, so there’s not an additional fee to connect the domain to the site that way.

Your import can run to the free site. Then you can set things up and customize the site to your desire. Last thing, connect the domain. Does that make sense?
