Importing from winrar

  Hi,

  We have a winrar backup of the website we obtained from those previously running the website.
  They had run a wordpress version the website as well.
  But when attempting to restore from this I am told the file is too large, please assist.

  Jetpack: No

  Hey there @jaco277e0cacd74, it seems like a winrar may have more than what we need. Are you able to use one of these import methods? For importing a full site, we’d recommend our Move to WordPress.com plugin or a third-party plugin (just be sure to use the preparation steps recommended in the article.)

  I suggest that you contact the official WinRAR support (email visible only to moderators and staff) for assistance and include evidence that you are now the legal owner of that website.

  @selwynnz Winrar has nothing to do with being the legal owner of a website. Winrar is just software to compress content, files, … just as Winzip, Zip7, …
