Importing from WordPress to a Hosted WordPress Blog

  I am creating a new blog on a hosted site and want to transfer my current WordPress data over. However, the import function from my ISP has a limit of 5 MB, and my XML file size is 5.2 MB, so it failed.

  Can I use FTP to do this transfer? And if so, which folder would I copy the XML file to?
