Importing from Xanga

  After importing and receiving confirmation that my import was successful, I don’t see any of my old posts on WordPress. I’m trying to figure out if this issue is on Xanga’s end or WordPress’s (i.e., if Xanga did not actually save my old posts for export or if WordPress’s import is messing up). Any insight into this would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

  Hi there,
  Sometimes the importer gets stuck. I tagged this thread for Staff to reset it for you. Please subscribe to it so you are notified when they respond.

  For instructions on how to do a Xanga import, please see: http://en.support.wordpress.com/import/import-from-xanga/

  Note that you must open the .zip export folder you get from Xanga and import ALL of the files included in the .zip folder individually.

  I’m not seeing any errors on our end, so it seems the problem is on Xanga’s end. Could you try to get your export file again using the instructions Timethief provided below?

  If you follow that procedure and end up still unable to get your import to load let me know and we can investigate further.
