importing from Xanga

Once you import from Xanga – how do you find your old content? I have uploaded the old files, but I don’t know where to find the information – is it a new wordpress site? I still can only see my previous ones, not the one I just imported.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

The import does not create a new site, it adds the content to the site where you ran the import. The import did complete and is marked as success. You have ~200 posts here:
https://nancysohn.wordpress.com/wp-admin/edit.php
They are not appearing on your site, because the posts are set to Private. You can Bulk Edit them to change their status from Private to Published quickly.

I imported my Xanga file and got the email that it had been imported, but the wordpress site I imported it to has nothing on it. Where did the files go?

Hi Jennifer,
The Xanga importer has to reformat files to import them correctly, so sometimes the import will get be ‘successful’ with no import if content in the files was formated unexpectedly. Please let me know on which site you ran the import and I can take a look at the files and re-import for you.

The XML file you uploaded to xangafuego.wordpress.com was already in the WordPress format, not in Xanga’s formatting. I re-ran the import with the WordPress importer and looks to be successful now. :)
