Importing from XANGA

  I have tried and tried to import my xanga files onto the wordpress but everytime I do it keeps saying “This file is not an xml file”. I have done EVERYTHING that it explains to do to import my files. I can’t understand why these are not xml files?

  Note that you must open the .zip export folder you get from Xanga and import ALL of the files included in the .zip folder individually before your import will show up on WordPress.com

  Hi there – If you still have trouble with this after confirming that, as Timethief says, it’s the .xml files you’re importing (one at a time) rather than the .zip file, please let me know!

  Hi, Yes I have tried this. But again each time I try to import one at a time it still says it is not an .xml file. Is there any other way around getting my xanga blogs back as I really do not want to lose it all?
