Importing fromTumblr

  Hi there,
  I followed the instructions yesterday to import my Tumblr blog (one of the side ones, actually) and today it looks like there has been zero progress. So I followed the instructions to Clear Information in hopes of restarting the import, but I got the warning that I could only import one blog at a time and an import was already in progress. I tried disconcerting from Tumblr and restarting, but I’m still getting that import in progress warning and seeing no posts actually imported into the blog.

  Help please.

  Hi there, I’ve tagged WordPress.com staff to help you with resetting the importer.

  You’ll likely receive a response within a few hours from a staff member, but in the meantime, you may wish to take a look at this thread: https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/tumblr-imports/

  Once it’s reset, please bare in mind the following as advised by staff:

  Please be patient and don’t try cancelling the process yourself – we’re experiencing a high volume of imports from Tumblr at the moment causing a backlog of pending imports in our system. The imports are being run in the order they are submitted.

  If the new import doesn’t complete within 24 hours, please let us know.

  Thanks for that information. I wish I would have seen the official post before trying to cancel the import. I’ll just be more patient.

  It makes sense there’s a logjam since Tumblr made the wonderful decision to censor creativity.

  Thanks so much. I’ve restarted the import and will leave it alone for a few days before fretting.
