Importing images from self hosted blog

    Hello, I have moved my sites from a self hosted wordpress.org site to now a wordpress.com site. I did this through the export and import tool functions with an XML file. This all went fine, but it seems my images were not moved and are still hosted on the wordpress.org site. How can I move these to wordpress.com so I can stop paying for the hosting? When exporting and importing, I made sure to click to include ALL files.

    The blog in questions is lostaruban.wordpress.com and the images are still hosted at lostaruban.com

    It looks like your images didn’t import because your export file contains references to the images, which the importer then tries to fetch. Because your site at lostaruban.com is down, the importer has no way to access the images.

    Is there any way you can get your site at lostaruban.com back up for the purpose of this export? If not, do you still have your WordPress files or if not, can you download your wp-content directory from your hosting provider?
