importing images from self hosted blog to wordpress.com blog

  I have a self hosted blog at http://www.chowchowbath.com. my images are on /blogimages folder of the same server root. all my posts refer to this subfolder to render the images. however when trying to move to my wordpress blog url, i could import only posts not these images. is there anyway i will get assistance to move all my ‘blogimages’ folder images to ‘wp-uploads’ on wordpress and rewrite the image urls on every post in my database?
