Importing my blogger blog

  I followed all the steps, created the .xml file and saved to my computer. When I try to import that 1.3MB file to WP, I repeatedly get the message to upload a valid file. What am I doing wrong?

  Hello!

  Does the export filename end as an .xml file?

  And are you selecting the import as being from Blogger when you attempt to bring it over to WordPress, as shown here:

  Hi Bruce, I managed to import from blogger now, but my followers got lost somehow. Weren’t they supposed to be imported with the blog posts?
  Also, how do I get the facebook, twitter etc share buttons to appear on each post?
  How do I embed music? And is it possible to embed different music for each page?
  Sorry for the million questions.

  Hello Maggie!

  I’m glad you got the import working.

  So, as for your questions, followers don’t automatically get moved over when you move your blog from Blogger to WordPress.com. For that, you can do a few things. You might wish to make a final post on your old blog with a link to the new blog’s subscription page – there are some more good tips here.
