Importing Not Done

    I tried importing some posts back in January to my blog and it still shows as being in progress to this day (March 12). What can I do to reset it? Thank you!

    The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    You need only to wait for 24 hours before asking for Staff help.

    Is the site you exported from still online?

    If it is then what is the URL please?

    Has 24 hours passed since you tried to import?

    Sometimes the importer gets stuck. If the file is large you may have to import Posts, Pages, etc. in separate files. Or if the file is very large Staff may have to do the import.

    Hi @tg2008, I’ve cleared that for you. Can you remove any unmoderated and spam comments, and then try making your export once more?

    Hello – I am having the same issue importing a 6.8Mb XML file from another WordPress installation – is that too large?

    I imported on 24/2 and used the link to contact support about two weeks later but have not had a reply (and I don’t really know where to look for a reply).

    Are you able to reset that for me?

    @nickdaviessite Done. 6.8MB isn’t too large, but too much spam can cause a timeout. Try clearing that and exporting again before importing.
